Janna Pelle is a classically trained pianist-turned DIY Pop performer combining elements of rock, soul, and dance into her theatrical live performances. In addition to performing at NYC hotspots including The Bitter End and Pianos, Janna has shared the stage with Zach Deputy and Easy Star All Stars, and has performed across the country with her side project Michelle My Pelle at The Fest for Beatles Fans alongside the likes of Donovan and Mickey Dolenz of The Monkees.

Janna is currently in the process of recording Key Change, a concept album illustrating the evolution of the keyboard instrument from harpsichord to synthesizer. With each track on the album performed with a different keyboard instrument (i.e., harpsichord, harmonium, Wurlitzer), Pelle demonstrates the timelessness of pop music. She was inspired by David Byrne’s book, “How Music Works,” one of the main focuses of the book being on how music has changed through history due to the spaces it is designed to be performed in.
